Japota is known for its premium potato chips, crafted from whole potatoes with rich flavors and a satisfying crunch. As the brand continues to grow, Japota introduced new variants—Sapi Panggang and Abon Sapi—to expand its flavor portfolio and appeal to local taste preferences.

Brandkraft was brought in to develop a packaging extension that seamlessly integrates these new flavors into the existing brand system, while ensuring each variant stands out with a distinct and appetizing identity.

THE CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

The challenge was to create a strong visual differentiation for the new variants without breaking the consistency of Japota’s established brand identity. Each flavor needed to feel unique and instantly recognizable, while still belonging to the same cohesive product family.

We approached this by crafting illustrative visuals that vividly represent each flavor—bringing the taste experience to life in a more expressive and engaging way. Combined with a structured layout system and bold visual hierarchy, the design enhances shelf impact while maintaining brand consistency. The result is a packaging extension that feels both unified and distinctive, strengthening Japota’s presence in an increasingly competitive snack category.
